Radio Florida receives new awards for its 50th anniversary

Florida, Nov. 19.- “We could not ignore the celebration of the 50th anniversary of this radio station without giving them the recognition of the Cuban Radio and the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television, and express to them how much we appreciate the effort you make in the effort of making a program more and more similar to its people.

This is how he expressed to the Floridian radialists Onelio Castillo Corderí, general director of the Radio in Cuba, when he delivered José Díaz Hernández, the main leader of this plant, and Magdalena Niebla, secretary of the trade union section, two cadres that recognize the results of the only municipal broadcaster of the country that won the status of National Distinguished Collective of the Culture Union for the third consecutive year.

In a lively talk with the workers of the Floridana station, Castillo Corderí, reflected on issues related to the general quality of the programming, especially the informative broadcasts and the music that is disseminated, and summoned to rebuild the spaces for specific population groups such as children and young adults and the elderly.

When the director said goodbye, he summoned Floridians to dream and realize that radio that Cuba needs, with a much more cultured and revolutionary program, closer, more immediate, more participatory and committed to the socio-cultural reality of the municipality of Florida.
