Havana, Nov. 18.- With the arrival in the early morning of this Monday of 207 Cuban health workers who were in Bolivia, 431 professionals already returned to the Homeland, after a first group did it last Saturday.
Among those who were received at the José Martà International Airport by the member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party, Roberto Morales Ojeda, Vice President of the Council of Ministers, and José Ãngel Portal Miranda, Minister of Public Health, among other authorities, were Amparo GarcÃa, Idalberto Delgado, Ramón Emilio Ãlvarez and Alexander Torres, who had been arbitrarily and unjustly arrested on November 13.
On Saturday, the embrace of the Cubans reached the 224 members of the medical brigade in Bolivia who were returning home, through Morales Ojeda and the member of the Political Bureau Bruno RodrÃguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs; as well as Portal Miranda, and Marta Oramas Rivero, First Deputy Minister of Transportation.
"We return victorious," said Nirza GarcÃa Valdés, a specialist in general surgery, on behalf of the collaborators; while the Minister of Public Health of Cuba, who was in charge of the words of welcome, said that "we will continue to offer our experiences and provide our supportive assistance."
The Cuban medical collaboration in Bolivia began in 1985, and as a result, 17 thousand 684 health professionals have provided input in that country.
