La Paz, Nov. 13.- The Bolivian Central Obrera, the largest union in Bolivia, has given a 24-hour ultimatum that takes place this Wednesday to restore order in the country and avoid calling for a general strike.

The general secretary of the Central Obrera Boliviana (COB), Juan Carlos Huarachi, called "political and civic leaders" to restore constitutional order within a day, in order to avoid a national strike, says Russia Today.

Later, the member of the Bolivian Workers' Central urges to fulfill the call to avoid an indefinite general strike with "mobilization and transfer of its affiliated sectors" towards La Paz to "establish order in the country."

The leader also denounced that the street actions that have been unleashed in the country have succeeded in "threatening people, harming their families, beating women and men, torturing, persecuting and threatening, violating human rights."
