Florida, Nov. 13.- The Sugarcane Territorial Station, located in the municipality of Florida, hosted the Scientific Day in greeting at the age of 55 after the National Research Institute of Cane was created.
As part of the event, students from homologous entities of the country, from the universities located in the central part of the Island and from other groups dedicated to the study and development of programs related to soil preparation and new varieties of grass were present.
During the meeting, works framed in the program related to the investigative processes were exhibited, by the personnel linked to the projects of improvements in the use of genetically superior seeds, and the application of schemes of greater efficiency in the use of fertilizer and the fight against the weeds.
The realization of the scientific day at the cane station in Florida, recognized the work of those who in the entity fulfill tasks destined to favor extensionism in the producing units, with the scientific advances and more sugar varieties, fruit of the constant search of the collective.
