The blockade impacts negatively on the food plans of the municipality of Florida

Florida, Nov. 6.- The economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States Government against Cuba has a negative impact on the development of the agri-food plans of the municipality of Florida, where tensions are recorded to guarantee milk collection and sowing and harvesting various crops among other difficulties.

An example of this is confirmed in the Alberto Becerra Credit and Service Cooperative, where according to the Directorate of its Board of Directors they cease to deliver more than 300 liters of milk every day for lack of about 15 liters of fuel.

Misael Hernández Gutiérrez, President of the productive base denounced the affectation during the most recent plenary session of the Municipal Committee of the ANAP, where he commented that at this moment the cowboys of his entity are not prepared to convert that volume of milk into cheese and added that the Low availability of diesel also affected the collection of other products such as corn.
