Oct. 19.- The top directorates of the Party, Government and Agriculture in this municipality of Florida extended their recognition to the collective of the Basic Unit of Cooperative Production (UBPC) El Vaquerito
belonging to the sugar system of the Ignacio Agramonte plant , for being an example of how much can be done in food production when interest, sense of belonging and optimal use of resources prevail in search of compliance with productive plans.
In addition to work on the sugarcane recovery tasks, members of El Vaquerito successfully defend the planting and harvesting of various crops, including bananas, cassava and rice, as well as promoting the raising of poultry, with efficient use of animal traction against the decrease in fuel availability.
According to the information offered by the engineer Ricardo Almeida Moreira, director of the Unit of Attention to Agricultural Producers of the Agramonte plant, UBPC First of January and Martyrs of Granada are also inserted there in the advanced food program.
