Florida begins process XII Congress of the National Association of Small Farmers

Florida, Oct. 12.- The members of the Credit and Services Cooperative (CCS) Camilo Cienfuegos of the municipality of Florida, validate their social objective of producing food for the people,
and this was evidenced during the celebration there of the first assembly of Balance of the XII Congress of the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) in the territory.
This demonstration meeting was attended by representatives of other grassroots organizations, in order to gain experience for the development of the process in the rest of the 32 entities of the local peasant sector and scheduled to conclude on November 26 in the Tomas Rojas CPA.
The synthesis of the report of the balance sheet meeting highlighted efforts in compliance with the production plan for milk, beef, meat, grains, vegetables and fruit, and pointed out goat sheep activity as an aspect on which a greater willingness on the part of the party should focus of breeders.
In different interventions, results were repeated in the reduction of theft and slaughter of cattle, although the fight against the diversion of contracted productions should be strengthened and the incorporation of a significant number of women to the group was recognized.
The agrarian of the Camilo Cienfuegos cooperative, in the presence of Antonio Ballate, first secretary of the Communist Party in the municipality, and leaders of the provincial and municipal leadership of the ANAP, elected Lourdes Cabote as president, accompanied by three women and the same number of men in the direction of the CCS.
