Havana, Apr 30 - Talks to establish an Agreement of Political Dialogue and Cooperation between Cuba and the European Union (EU) are scheduled to end today in this capital.
Â
According to diplomats from both parties, the objective of the process is to contribute to normalization of ties between the bloc and the Caribbean nation.
This first round of negotiations to conclude this Wednesday, targets the agreement on organizational aspects of the dialogue, which will be held in Havana and Brussels in an alternate manner, reported the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The island is one of the few nations of the continent that does not have an agreement as the one in discussion here in its relations with the EU due to the so-called "common stand", a restrictive policy to interact with Cuba, approved by the group in 1996 and still in force.
