More than 6.8 million Cuban voters, on February 24 voted in favor of the constitution, a figure that represents 78.3 percent of the total, said the Director of Areito Digital magazine in an article.
This resounding victory is the result of a deep revolutionary process of more than six decades of continuous struggle to establish, against all odds, a better society, according to the text.
He remembers that the ballot boxes were guarded by some 200,000 pioneers, young primary and secondary students.
'Last February 24 was a day of rejoicing for the Cuban people since millions of Cubans voted freely in peace and calm,' said the activist.
Hernandez said that the Constitution is the result of much analysis, which included thousands of meetings from August to November in which millions of Cubans analyzed and debated its text.
