Havana, Apr 24Â -Â The Cuban former Football player Luis Carlos Garcia Rodriguez confirmed today he will try to set a new Guiness record in ball control in Hotel Palco next May 3.

Garcia, 21, will seek to achieve his purpose at 12:30 in the afternoon, when he will try to hit the ball more than 3.000 times from the seated position, with the head, with and without support of the arms.
“We want to make it that way to make it more attractive. It is difficult so I am focused on the resistance work. I run everyday one hour and 45 minutes, in addition to many push-ups, sit-ups and other exercises, told to Prensa Latina the athlete of the capital municipality of Boyerosâ€.
Last year, Garcia Rodriguez achieved to hit the ball 302 times in a minute sitting on a table and only making use of his right foot, to break the record of 282, which was also in his possession since 2009.
The record was achieved at Palco Hotel and was transmitted alive on national television, also present in this new attempt, through the program Gol 360.
“I am very excited about this record, I want to dedicate it to the International Labour Day, the 53rd anniversary of Giron victory and Jose Marti Pioneers Organization, as well as 52nd of the Union of Young Communists, said.
