Senegalese Contemporary Art Exhibition Opens in CubaHavana, Feb 8th - Cuban authorities and members of the Africa-Cuba Friendship Association opened an exhibition of Senegalese contemporary art in the historical center of Havana, diplomatic sources reportedThursday.

Twenty works of contemporary visual arts make up the exhibition inaugurated at the Casa de Africa Museum to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Senegal, and other important dates.


The press release states that several pieces of the collection will be donated to Cuban institutions.

Dakar National Gallery Director, Madjiguÿne Niang, delivered the works to the Cuban authorities.

The African artists inaugurated this exhibition as part of a program of activities that includes participation in the 28th International Book Fair which will open its doors this Thursday in Havana.(Prensa Latina)
