Argentina, Host of U.N. Conference on South-South CooperationBuenos Aires, Feb 6 th - Some 1500 delegates of the 193 members of the United Nations will converge here in March for the Second High-Level U.N. Conference on South-South Cooperation, informed Argentina's Foreign Ministry.

From March 20 thru 22 this capital will host one hundred personalities, among them several presidents, Foreign Ministers, and representatives of international and regional organizations.


Forty years after adopting the Buenos Aires Plan of Action (PABA), through which developing countries defined the route to follow in the field of technical cooperation. On this occasion attendants will deepen in key issues of the Agenda 2030, the Paris Agreement and the G20 summit meeting.

A sustainable nutrition, formation of human resources, technological change, climate sustainability, gender equality, financing development and inclusive business will center debate at the conference, only of the United Nations in the Latin American region in 2019.

During the meeting there will be, in parallel, bilateral sessions with Asian, Caribbean and African countries, to create opportunities for the productive sector, scientific institutions and organizations of civil society of Argentina, said the source.

Also, there are expected to be 150 events in parallel on the issues linked to the Conference.

Argentina develops over 165 cooperation projects with 40 countries of Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia in diverse areas such as agribusiness, biotechnology,
