Two People Injured by Tornado Die in CubaHavana, Feb 4th - Cuban Minister of Public Health Jose Angel Portal reported that two of the people injured during the January 27 tornado died in Havana, official sources reported on Sunday.

Portal said that they died on Saturday and they were two of 13 seriously injured people as a result of the tornado that hit the Havana municipalities of Regla, Guanabacoa, Diez de Octubre and San Miguel del Padron, where four people died and nearly 200 were injured, in addition to considerable material damage.

The minister participated on Saturday night in a meeting of the Council of Ministers to follow up on the recovery from the damage caused by the tornado.

According to experts, the weather event is not usual in Cuba and it is difficult to predict, which explains why citizens were taken by surprise on the street, even though on January 27, the population had been warned about bad weather conditions.(Prensa Latina)
