Cuba Fosters Discussion on Improvements in Health Training

Havana, Apr 3 - The training of medical doctors is the subject of the keynote speech today at the Second International Convention on Health and Technology, running in this capital since March 31 and concluding tomorrow.

The speech will be offered by Eduardo Alemañy, First Vice Rector of the University of Medical Sciences in Havana.
Also at today's event, a group of Cuban specialists will participate in a roundtable discussion about updates necessary to meet the Vancouver 2010 standards, while another topic on the agenda concerns actions to ensure quality of life in the training of health professionals.
Mexicans Claudio Saloma, Marcela Agudelo, and Lina Palacio will discuss the strengthening of the health information system, and "Life Expectancy in the Elderly," will close the third day of the Imagery Technology seminars running parallel to the event.
The Third International Congress on Podology, and the international symposiums on Technology and Pharmaceutical Services, and Technology and Oral Health will also conclude their working sessions today.
