Technology and Health Discussions Continue in HavanaHavana, Apr 2  -  The Second International Convention on Technology and Health, taking place at this capital’s Conference Center, is beginning its third day of discussions today, and its second of scientific sessions.

 

Dr. Rene Sanchez Diaz, from the Ministry of Higher Education, will open the sessions today with the keynote speech: “Training of specialists in medical careers.â€

Specialist Ivet Cabrera will discuss the curricula design for the Logo Phonology career, while a group of Cuban experts will present the issue “Comparison of results of specimen cultures.â€

Today’s agenda includes round tables on “Human Resources Training in Hygiene and Epidemiology,†presented by Cuba, and “Filtered Collection of Dried Blood in the Prevention of Transmissible Diseases,†hosted by Brazil.

Congresses on Technology and Health and Podology, and symposiums on Optometry and Nutrition are running parallel to the event.

The International Convention on Technology and Health, running until April 4, includes many programs that deal with the development of technologies and the training of professionals in all medical specialties.
