Russia, Cuba Discussed Collaboration in Education and Science Moscow, Mar 31 - Minister of Education and Science in Russia Dmitri Livanov, reiterated today the interest of Moscow of having Cubans students in his country for upper-level and graduate studies.

 

Livanov exchanged on issues of the bilateral agenda with the scientific advisor of the Council of State of Cuba Fidel Castro Díaz-Balart and Cuban Ambassador to Russia, Emilio Lozada, who received them at the Ministerial headquarters.

During the conversation, the minister stressed the importance his country gives to learning the Russian language in the Caribbean nation.

In relation to the exchange between Cuban and Russian universities, the Minister suggested to define the specialties of greatest interest for cooperation by parties, and mentioned medicine, computing and nanotechnology.

Castro Diaz-Balart, on the other hand, extended an invitation to Livanov to perform a visit to Cuba.
