Cuban Guerrero To Quarters in Badminton Tournament

Havana, Mar 29 - Cuban Osleni Guerrero beat today Dominican Alberto Raposo and advanced to the quarterfinals of the International Tournament of Badminton Giraldilla de La Habana, where he will face Peruvian Andrés Corpancho.
 Guerrero, first pre-clasified and champion defender of the Cuban contest, defeated Raposo 21-7, 21-14 in the day's second round.
The Cuban player, main racket of the American continent and placed 54 in the world ranking, will face this afternoon the Peruvian.
Corpancho, eighth seeded for the event, defeated the Mexican Andrés López in the morning 21-18, 12-21 and 21-16.
Guerrero already beat Corpancho with partial of 21-17 and 21-19, last year, in the quarterfinals of Peru's 18th Open International Tournament.
If Guerrero achieves the victory, he will face on Saturday morning, in the semifinals, the winner of the duel between American Bjorn Seguin and the Jamaican Gareth Henry.
The International Tournament of Badminton Giraldilla de La Habana will be held until Sunday at the Coliseum of Ciudad Deportiva in the capital city and on Saturday will be the semi-finals both singles, doubles and the mixed.
