Geneva Convenes Rally to Support Venezuela

Geneva, Mar 3 - The Place des Nations in this city will hold on Wednesday a rally to support Venezuela, in face of violent actions of the recent days, to destabilize that country.

"We firstly want to express our solidarity to the Venezuelan people and secondly to re-establish truth, because we see how the international press openly lie about what is happening there," Wilma Jung, coordinator of the Bolivarian Committee in Switzerland, stated.
In statement to Prensa Latina, Jung denounced the similarity between what is currently happening in Venezuela and what occurred in Chile in 1973, when the coup d'Etat, and recalled how the oligarchy in that last country also concealed to create discontent among the population.
The activist said they are extreme-right opposition sectors that are creating violence and pay Colombian paramilitary groups to destabilize the country.
We cannot stop referring the U.S. role in the attempts to revert the institutional order, and recalled that Washington has always regarded Latin America as backyard and Venezuela is a oil-rich country.
