Havana, Oct 30Â -Â On the role of the mass media in the prevention of urological diseases, will discuss today in Havana Cuban and Russian experts. According to specialists in teh field, the press is an effective tool in the education of people to create healthy lifestyles and enhance the prestige of the health professionals.
In recent years, Cuba and Russia develop activities like this. Practical cooperation in this area dates from 2008 when it made the first Russian-Cuban forum of Andrology, which addressed strategic issues of reproductive health of man.
Later in March 2011, took place here the second men´s health forum, which discussed global issues and reproductive health prevention, among others.
In 2012 was held a meeting to present the experiences and results of the new socio-epidemiological male health in the Russian nation developed, and in April 2013 the third forum "in the andrology prevention from the perspective of medicine based on the evidence."
This involved more than 300 Cubans and Russians urologists, andrologists, endocrinologists, cardiologists therapists.
The meeting takes place parallel to the XX Cuban Congress of Urology, opened yesterday in the Conference Center of the capital, whose central themes are the stones, the uro-oncology, laparoscopic surgery and andrology .
