Mexico, Puerto Rico Debut at LatAm Monologue Festival

Mexico, Puerto Rico Debut at LatAm Monologue Festival Cienfuegos, Cuba, Feb 14 - Three theater groups from Mexico and one from Puerto Rico will make their debut today during the third day of the second annual Latin American Monologue Festival, concluding on Sunday in this south-central Cuban city.

 

Mexican actors will stage "Raiz, yo soy (Teatro de los sueños)," "Baby Boom en el Paraiso (El Centauro mecánico)," and "Casting para actor sin competencia (Deficciona Teatro)" in three of six halls, venues of the festival.

The versatile Puerto Rican actor Teofilo Torres will debut with the piece "Papo Impala esta quita," at the Tomas Terry Theater in Cienfuegos, some 250 kilometers south-east of Havana.

Torres will also participate at the Terry Theater in an evening gala featuring the Argentinian work Ornella, of Tan Solo Hazlo group.

Today's agenda includes the Cuban staging of "Giordano Bruno," which will be performed by Teatro de la Luna Company.
