Spaniards Ratify Solidarity with Cuba and Antiterrorists

Spaniards Ratify Solidarity with Cuba and Antiterrorists Madrid, Feb 11 - Groups of solidarity with Cuba organized a traditional Madrid stew with more than 300 people demanding the end of the U.S. blockade and release for four Cuban antiterrorist fighters unjustly condemned in that northern country.

Cuban ambassador to Spain Eugenio Martinez presided over the initiative the Pablo de la Torriente Brau Cultural Association annually organizes, this time in collaboration with the Corredor del Henares-Cuba Ernesto Guevara Friendship Association.

The meeting, held in the Madrid locality of San Sebastian de los Reyes, gathered councillors from the locality's political forces, members of Spanish associations of solidarity with Cuba, and some 300 neighbors of the zone.

The objective of the stew is to collect funds to support the "Guillermo Granados Lara" Special Education School in Santiago de Cuba, focused on delivering school materials and other supplies to support the functioning of the educational center.

The president of the Pablo de la Torriente Brau Association, Maria Garcia, stated that the support to Cuba by the Spaniards correspond to the examples of unconditional solidarity from that country around the world.
