Spanish Hotel Group Increases Business with Cuba

Havana, Feb 8.- After ten years of operations with Cuba, the Occidental Hotels and Resorts corporation is confident in the development of business with the island, asserted Jaime Buxo, General Director of the Spanish company.

The entrepreneur commented that they work tirelessly with the state group Gran Caribe in the transformation of the Villa Cojimar Hotel and the creation of a hotel affiliation, which will be called Caribbean Heritage Hotel Collection.
On this initiative, Buxo announced that it should be founded along with two over 50 year-old establishments, like the Hotel Embajador of Santo Domingo and the Hotel Nacional de Cuba in Havana, with the objective of improving the commercialization of historic Caribbean, of cities full of culture and charm.
In January, the Spanish firm assumed the administration of the Allegro Club Cayo Guillermo, located in the northern side of Ciego de Avila province, with which it expands its operations in Cuba, the News Caribbean Digital magazine reported.
It also administers the hotels Occidental Miramar and Occidental Montehabana, in Havana, and the Allegro Varadero, in that beach resort.
