Brazil Prepares Business Mission to Visit Cuba Feb. 4 - A business mission of Brazil will visit Cuba at the end of March to make progress in the identification of investment opportunities in sectors prioritized by the two governments, above all in the Special Development Zone of Mariel (ZEDM).

Hipolito Rocha, general director of Apex Brazil (Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investment) in Havana, confirmed that they are already organizing the engagement book that will keep the representatives of the South American nation busy during their stay on the island.

During the recent inauguration of the first stage of the Cuban mega-port, Dilma Rousseff, president of that country, announced the preparation of a mission to Cuba, with the purpose of defining the great interest shown by several Brazilian enterprises in establishing themselves at the ZEDM.

The delegation will be composed of executives and specialists of the biotechnological, pharmaceutical and food and agriculture industries, among other areas prioritized by the two governments for the development of mutually beneficial business, explained Rocha.
