Japanese Minister Describes as Successful Recent Visit to Cuba

Tokyo, Jan 24-. Japanese Minister for the Disaster Management and National Recovery, Keiji Furuya, described as successful the results of a recent visit to Cuba, and said to be deeply impressed for the high level of his peers in Havana.
Furuya, who presides over the National Public Safety Commission and the Japan-Cuba Friendship Parliamentary League, talked about his stay in that nation with Cuban ambassador Marcos Rodriguez.(Prensa Latina)

During the meeting held at the Parliament headquarters in this capital, Furuya showed some images of his meetings with the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, and President Raul Castro.

During his stay in Cuba, the minister, first of the current Japanese cabinet who travels to Havana, met with First Vice President Miguel Diaz-Canel, National Assembly President (Parliament) Esteban Lazo, and Council of Ministers vice president Ricardo Cabrisas.

Also on the list were Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, and Eusebio Leal, director of the Network of Historian and Curator Offices of the Island.
